Ministerial Order regulating the Professional Practice Bonus for the Police

Ministerial Order 5 of 2010

The Minister of Internal Security;Pursuant the Constitution of the Republic of Rwanda of 04 June 2003, as amended to date, especially in Articles 121 and 201;Pursuant to the Presidential Order nº 155/01 of 31/12/2002 on Statutes Governing National Police especially, in Article 88;After consideration and approval by the Cabinet in its session of 14.10.2009;HEREBY ORDERS:

Article One – Purpose of this Order

This Order establishes the professional practice bonus given to Police Staff doing the job of finance management in the National Police.

Article 2 – Beneficiary of the bonus

Any Police Staff holding a bachelor's Degree, doing administrative work, as an accountant, budget officer, internal auditor or procurement officer holding the rank below chief inspector of Police is given an additional top up salary equivalent to the one of the Chief Inspector of PoliceThe Police officers doing the jobs mentioned in the above paragraph are put in place by Commissioner General of Police, and are confirmed by the Minister in charge of National Police.

Article 3 – Repealing provision

All prior provisions contrary to this Order are hereby repealed.

Article 4 – Commencement

This Order shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Rwanda. It takes effect as of 01/08/2009.
