Ministerial Order determining other circumstances whereby only the First and the Last Verse of the National Anthem are Sung

Ministerial Order 3 of 2013

The Minister of Local Government;Pursuant to the Constitution of the Republic of Rwanda of 04 June 2003 as amended to date, especially in Articles 120, 121 and 201;Pursuant to Law nº 19/2008 of 14/07/2008 on characteristics and ceremonies of the national Anthem as modified and complemented to date, especially in Article 6;After consideration and approval by the Cabinet, in its session of 09/10/2013;HEREBY ORDERS:

Article One – Purpose of this Order

This Order determines other circumstances whereby only the first and the last verse of the national Anthem are sung.

Article 2 – Other circumstances whereby only the first and the last verses of the national Anthem are sung

Subject to the provisions of Paragraph One of Article 6 of Law nº 19/2008 of 14/07/2008 on characteristics and ceremonial of the national Anthem as modified and complemented to date, only the first and the last verse of the national Anthem shall be sung during international events in which Rwanda participates and in course of which is necessary to sing the national Anthem.

Article 3 – Repealing provision

All prior provisions contrary to this Order are hereby repealed.

Article 4 – Commencement

This Order shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Rwanda.
