Article One – Purpose of this Order
This Order determines the form and contents of the power of attorney of industrial property.Article 2 – Form of power of attorney of industrial property
The form of power of attorney of the industrial property is annexed to this Order.Article 3 – Content of power of attorney of industrial property
The power of attorney of the industrial property must contain the following information:1°name and address of grantor;2°name and address of the intellectual property agent;3°subject and scope of the power of attorney;4°determination of the place where the power of attorney will be executed;5 °commitment by the grantor to be bound by the acts of the agent within the power of attorney;6°power of attorney signed by the grantor with company’s seal;7°date on which the power of attorney takes effect;8°for a grantor whose habitual residence or principal place of business is located outside the Republic of Rwanda, the power of attorney must be certified by the Notary.Article 4 – Language used in the power of attorney of industrial property
The language used in the power of attorney of the industrial property is one of the official languages provided by the Constitution of the Republic of Rwanda.Article 5 – Repealing provision
All prior provisions contrary to this Order are repealed.Article 6 – Commencement
This Order comes into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Rwanda.History of this document
