Article One – Purpose of this Order
This Order determines Police Regions and Districts of Rwanda National Police.Article 2 – Police Regions
Rwanda National Police shall be composed of the following five (5) Police Regions:1°Central Region;2°Southern Region;3°Northern Region;4°Eastern Region;5°Western Region.Article 3 – Police Districts
A Police Region is divided into Police districts as indicated on the annex of this Order.Article 4 – Boundaries of Regions and Police Districts
Regions and Police Districts boundaries shall be in accordance with the boundaries of Province and Districts as per administrative entities of the Republic of Rwanda.Boundaries of Police Central Region shall be as per boundaries of Kigali City.Article 5 – Authorities responsible for the implementation of this Order
The Prime Minister, the Minister of Internal Security and the Minister of Local Government are responsible for the implementation of this Order.Article 5 – Repealing provision
All prior provisions contrary to this Order are hereby repealed.Article 6 – Commencement
This Order shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Rwanda. It shall take effect as of 02/09/2011History of this document
