Article One – Purpose of this Order
This Order determines the fees for issuance of a copy or extract of a civil status record.Article 2 – Fees for a copy of a civil status record issued in Rwanda
The fee for a copy of civil status record is as follows:1°a copy of a civil status record is paid for by two thousand Rwandan Francs (FRW 2,000);2°a copy of an extract of a civil status record is paid for by one thousand Rwandan Francs (FRW 1,000).The Government and its organs as well as destitute persons with an indigence certificate issued by administrative local entities are exempted from paying fees for civil status records provided for under this Article.Article 3 – Fees for a copy of a civil status record issued abroad
The fee for a copy of a civil status record is as follows:1°a copy of civil status record is paid for by an amount equivalent to fifteen American dollars (USD 15);2°a copy of an extract of a civil status record is paid for by an amount equivalent to ten American dollars (USD 10).Article 4 – Organ to which fees paid are allocated
Fees paid for a copy of a civil status record are allocated to administrative local entity or embassy which issued the record.Article 5 – Authorities responsible for the implementation of this Order
The Prime Minister, the Minister of Local Government and the Minister of Finance and Economic Planning are entrusted with the implementation of this Order.Article 6 – Repealing provision
All prior provisions contrary to this Order are repealed.Article 7 – Commencement
This Order comes into force on the date of its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Rwanda.History of this document
